It is extremely good practice to keep a back up copy of your website on a local machine. However iDigLocal Hosting comes with daily back ups which are managed with Jetpack.

You can access Jetpack by logging into your cpanel hosting account at https://cpanel.yourdomain.com and then find the Jetpack app.

From here you can download your home directory from the list of backups or your databases. You can even do a restore of those resources from within the jetpack portal.

Back Up your files with JetBackup

If you select "Home Directory", for example you will be presented with a list of all the backups of the home directory. You can then click on one of those links and even locate particular folders or files from a back up instance, select it and click download. It will then be added to the Queue.

Going to the "Queue" shows a list of tasks. Once completed you can go to "view Downloads" then select the item for back up.

It is extremely easy to use and very functional.

The files will be downloaded as a compressed file.

The alternative is to log into your website using FTP and then to download your files to your local machine using your FTP software.
