Most control panels have built in control panel to control panel migration tools that you can take advantage of. In some instances we can offer free migration assistance, it depends on the complexity of the task. We use cPanel as our hosting account management software. Where you existing account uses cPanel the transition can be relatively easy depending on t=your server requirements.
Below is step-by-step procedure to ensure a successful migration:
- The most important thing to do is to get in touch and tell us what you need.
- We would need access to your current hosting account in order to assess the work involved
- We download and import your current data
- Together we access data integrity and consistency between both the old and new accounts.
- Now once the account is migrated we would need the DNS settings for the domain changed. This can be done either by changing the nameservers for the domain or changing the A records for the new server IP.
It can be a relatively straight forward process but it is important that you tell us about any specific requirements you currently have. If you don't know we can generally identify and specific requirements from your old server account set up.
